Wealth or Riches.. I came across an interesting fact - financial advisors often set the bar at $5 million to $10 million for a 'very high net worth,' and for the coveted 'ultra-high net worth' status, it may require $30 million or more. But is this truly how we should define wealth or riches?
Let’s pause and delve deeper into the essence of wealth. I have a fond memory of my son's innocent belief that we were wealthy simply because, back in the day, the 'dollar' and '99 cents' stores actually sold items at those prices. Taking him there as a little one, and allowing him to indulge, brought genuine joy to both of us! Lol"
In reality, this short blog touches on the subjective nature of wealth, recognizing that wealth encompasses far more than just monetary riches. True wealth is found in happiness, wellness, and living a healthy life.
So, let's highlight three essential components of wealth:
1. Happiness: True wealth begins with contentment and joy in the present moment. It's about appreciating the simple pleasures in life, like spending time with loved ones, enjoying a beautiful sunset/sunrise, or pursuing hobbies that bring genuine happiness.
2. Wellness: Health is indeed wealth. Good physical and mental health are invaluable assets. Taking care of ourselves and our loved ones, both physically and mentally, is a cornerstone of true wealth. It allows us to enjoy life to the fullest and pursue our dreams.
3. Living a Healthy Life: Beyond physical health, a healthy life involves balance and harmony. It means finding fulfillment in meaningful relationships, personal growth, and contributing positively to society. A life well-lived is a testament to one's wealth, regardless of their financial status.
In the end, while financial prosperity is a part of the equation, let us remember that it's just one piece of the puzzle. True wealth encompasses the richness of experiences, the depth of relationships, and the well-being of both body and mind. It's a holistic concept that can't be solely measured in dollars and cents.
