Transparency, Please!
By #LearnedMan Haiku 1
Threads sharp, polished bright,
yet the past still speaks its truth—
scars shaped strength, not shame.
Once red, blurred by pain,
cleared by hands that reach behind,
lifting as we rise.
Crisp and clear again,
lessons woven into light,
mentor, change the view.
Transparency, Please!

Worn paths, torn yet bold,
childhood storms carved steady hands,
dressed to rise, not hide.
Red once blurred my sight,
but wisdom rewrote the script,
clear and crisp again.
Transparency, Please!

Success in sharp lines,
stitched with threads of past and truth,
scars now shine like gold.
Dark turned crimson red,
then the mentor’s light poured in,
cleansing, clear once more.
The STORY behind:
Why #Learnedman Wrote ‘Transparency, Please!’
The haiku trilogy, Transparency, Please!, was written to emphasize the delicate balance between outward success and inner truth. While dressing for success presents a polished exterior, true growth demands looking back—unraveling the childhood experiences that shaped us.
For the author, childhood was marked by deep trauma, moments that once clouded vision and turned clarity into red-tinted struggle. Yet, through life's experiences, healing, and reflection, what was once blurred has returned to a crisp and clear perspective. The author watched the good and responded to the sad with not the 'what happened' but in stead with the "how to"
Respond.
Each haiku in this collection captures a phase of transformation:
• The first haiku acknowledges that our past does not diminish us but strengthens us.
• The second haiku highlights the power of reaching back—how sharing our stories helps redefine what once felt broken.
• The third haiku celebrates mentorship as a force that restores clarity, turning pain into wisdom and guiding others toward renewed vision.
Through this poetic journey, Transparency, Please! calls for authenticity. It challenges us not just to wear success but to embrace the full story behind it—because the most powerful lessons come from what we once endured, overcame, and now use to uplift others.
