“My Judas, My Empowerment: Learning from the Unexpected Teachers”

Stop worrying! #LearnedMan

In life, we’re bound to encounter our “Judas” — someone we trusted, welcomed into our circle, only to experience betrayal that cuts deeper than we ever expected. It’s a story as old as time, beautifully illustrated in the life of Jesus, who knew what Judas would eventually do but didn’t reject or turn him away. Instead, Jesus allowed him to walk beside Him, teaching us a profound lesson: sometimes, our Judas is there by divine design.

There’s a particular strength in embracing this perspective, one that lets us see beyond the sting of betrayal. Every “Judas” in our lives can teach us to lean into faith, to learn resilience, to let the experience mold us, and to listen to what God might be saying. In facing our own “Judas” figures, we find a chance to develop character traits that reflect our Creator — compassion, forgiveness, courage, and wisdom.

Scripture reminds us: “No weapon formed against me shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17). When faced with betrayal, I remind myself of this verse, understanding that the weapons, the betrayals, the heartaches might form, but they will not break me. This verse promises us that God’s hand will guide us through these painful moments, and what feels like an end can be a powerful beginning.

Identifying our “Judas” — whether a friend, coworker, or even family member — allows us to look deeper within ourselves. How do we respond? Are we equipped to show grace, hold our peace, and lean on our faith? When we rise above the actions of our “Judas,” we display God-life characteristics: mercy, discernment, and trust in a higher purpose.

Remember, Judas will come and go, but the experience will stay with us, serving as an empowerment we can share with others. Our story becomes a testimony, our scars, symbols of strength. If we let these experiences shape us, we not only grow but empower others walking similar paths.

Betrayal, in all its difficulty, can be a powerful teacher if we allow it to be. It’s a stepping stone, not a stumbling block. And so, to our Judas, we say thank you for the lesson, and to God, we give thanks for the empowerment. Amen.

I want to keep this thing called #life - SIMPLE! Remember to stay #Positive, #Plugged and #Present. #Learnedman
