"Free Gate, Free Classroom, Free Desk, Free Teacher"..Are You Pondering? What comes to mind?

Before we continue down that path - let me share this ... I've been gainfully employed via the education system for many "mango seasons", which includes nearly 20 years in #Leadership. I've experienced a lot. If trading was an option - I would not substitute the lessons. Might I add - the most rewarding stories have been that of school teachers and young people. Our amazing leaders and receivers of learning.

So this evening after: 1. leaving the office 2. stopping by Best Buy to obtain a new gadget (which also included getting an unexpected item for $59.99 - that was originally $169.99). I digress. 3. grabbing some grub (no cooking tonite)... I ran into my neighbor's mom.. She's a 35 year veteran educator and track coach. She was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame! She's a superstar. With that - she shared one of her recent educator stories. It was fresh off the press. She quoted the following and said she would never forget it: "Free Gate, Free Classroom, Free Desk, Free Teacher..". Those were the words of one of her "Dads". He directed those words at his high school son - who was - I'll say misbehaving. As I dramatize - how I envisioned the experience went - I imagine dad saying "why are you acting up? You know you get to walk through a Free Gate! Enter a Free Classroom. Sit your tail at a Free Desk. And are afforded a Free Teacher"... So Why are you misbehaving?

Here's The Food for Thought

Moms, Dads, grandmas, grandads, parents, siblings and young people - I think this is a good time to pause and value Free! Free! Free! Free! Remember, it will not always be Free!

Again - just Food for Thought. The conversation impacted me and certainly I wanted to share this experience.

Remember to stay #Plugged #Positive & #Present. Hope you enjoyed this little nugget.

Have an amazing day!
