Deoxyribonucleic Acid 🧬

I know we don’t walk around saying  Deoxyribonucleic Acid.  However, it’s fun starting this message fancy so that it sounds impressive!  It's your DNA 🧬 (aka Deoxyribonucleic Acid).

Before getting started, I was chatting with a  very good friend earlier. We were talking about life and the relevancy of struggles.  We both were relating to ups and downs and the major role that struggles play in anyone’s life.

I shared how important establishing good credit was for me as a young man, and how I used credit cards 💳, in my twenties, as a matter of survival.  As I know many of us can relate that's when my friend hit me with the Spike Lee's start-up story.

Specifically: Did you know that Spike Lee maxed out his credit cards to make his first movie, ‘She's Gotta Have It’, in 1986? We all know that paid off - since it launched his career as a director.  His movie, School Daze - still champions my favorite Spike Lee movie. I digress!

What’s your DNA 🧬?  Not literally. Think about - "diversity is a part of the companies DNA 🧬”.  A Non-negotiable!  Actual DNA is regarded as unchangeable.  So while you ponder your DNA, two (2) quick questions:

1. What is one (1) fundamental characteristic or quality that you possess, and you wouldn’t change it for the world?

2. Think about a friend, relative, significant other that possesses a characteristic/quality that you believe makes them an inspirational person?

In consideration of your DNA, your responses to questions 1 & 2, and recognizing ‘success’ is subjective, on a scale from 1 to 5, how good are you, - with tapping into the qualtities you concluded above?

You see - I considered a quote from George Bernhard Shaw as I finalized this nugget. He said:  - "A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.” I am convinced that our DNA is changeable and it strengthens through our trials and tribulations!

As I close - IRON sharpens IRON. Consider surrounding yourself with people that challenge you and have your best interest mind!
